Yellow Rice

Easy to cook yellow rice    

Prep: 10 mins Cook: 20 mins Total: 30 mins Servings: 2

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Premium Delicious Jasmine Fragrant Rice
  • 2 cups of water
  • ¼ cup minced onion
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon curry powder (Optional) 
  • 1 garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 seasoning cube

Directions

  1. Pour 2 tablespoons cooking oil in a hot saucepan and stir in onions till golden brown
  2. Add the ground turmeric, curry powder, garlic powder, black pepper and cube
  3. Stir all the ingredients together for 30 seconds
  4. Pour 2 cups of water (Same cup used for measuring rice)
  5. Add 1 cup of Premium Delicious Jasmine Fragrant Rice
  6. Add salt to taste
  7. Cover the saucepan, reduce heat to low, and simmer until water is absorbed and rice is cooked about 20 minutes. Fluff rice with a fork.
  8. Serve with a stew of your choice
